Police Search for Witness After Woman with Learning Disabilities Raped in Bournemouth

On Thursday 10 October 2019, around 2pm, a woman met a man in Boscombe, Bournemouth. They then travelled by bus to the man’s home in Somerford.

The woman, who has learning disabilities, says she was raped at the address. She reported the attack two days later, on Saturday 12 October.

Detective Pleads for Key Witness to Come Forward

Detective Constable Jordan Curtis of Bournemouth CID said:

“Since this incident was reported, we’ve carried out extensive enquiries to identify the suspect and his location, but without success. I’ve identified a man who spoke to the victim on the day of the attack and believe he may hold vital information.

“We understand some time has passed, but we owe it to the victim to pursue every lead. I urge the man pictured, or anyone who recognises him, to contact Dorset Police.”
