One Year On: The Hunt Continues for Missing Shah
It has been exactly one year since Shah vanished in Hounslow’s Derby Road area on Tuesday, 7 May 2019.
Detectives Plead for Crucial Information
Detective Chief Inspector Vicky Tunstall from the Met’s Specialist Crime (Homicide) unit said: “My team have spent the last year working tirelessly and diligently to understand Shah’s fate and piece together the events of 7 May and the days that followed.”
She added, “We have left no stone unturned and will continue until we bring justice for Shah and peace for his family. We are determined to identify and prosecute those responsible for his death.”
Breakthrough After Discovery of Remains
Shah’s remains were found in a rural woodland near Beaconsfield on 19 December. This discovery uncovered significant new evidence.
Despite progress, DCI Tunstall believes people with vital knowledge remain silent. “If you know what happened to Shah or saw suspicious activity around Hedgerley Village in Buckinghamshire during that time, please come forward.”
A Heartfelt Appeal to Witnesses
Shah’s partner was pregnant when he went missing and has since given birth to their eight-month-old daughter — who will sadly never meet her father.
“Can you live with this knowledge for the rest of your life?” DCI Tunstall pleads. “You could be the final piece in this tragic puzzle.”
The detective urged anyone near Hedgerley Village last May to recall anything unusual.
Police are particularly interested in a black BMW X5 with cloned plates, YC67MFY, seen parked suspiciously near the woods.
£20,000 reward still stands for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Even the smallest tip-off could break the case.
Anyone with information should call the police on 101 or contact @MetCC on Twitter, quoting Operation Rockton.
