Man Dies After Hammer Incident in Stoke-on-Trent
Detectives are probing a fatal incident in Stoke-on-Trent after reports of a man armed with a hammer sparked emergency police action on Wood Street, Longton.
Police were called at 2.25pm on 15 May. Upon arrival, officers detained a man who was rushed to Royal Stoke University Hospital but was sadly pronounced dead.
Three Stoke Men Arrested in Connection
Three local men have been arrested and are currently in custody as inquiries continue. Staffordshire Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to call 101, quoting incident number 395 of 15 May.
Independent Investigation Launched
The case has also been handed over to the Independent Office for Police Conduct for further review.
