Detectives Probe Mysterious Death in Hackney
Police are investigating the unexplained death of a 57-year-old woman in Hackney. Officers and London Ambulance Service were called to an address on Charnwood Street, E5, on Tuesday, 17 March, after welfare concerns were raised about the occupant.
Woman Found Unresponsive at Charnwood Street
At around 4.45pm, emergency services arrived to find the woman unresponsive. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed, and a post-mortem is scheduled to determine the cause of death.
Three Arrested in Connection with Death
- A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is in custody at an East London police station.
- Following further inquiries, two women aged 48 and 32 were arrested on Wednesday, 18 March. The 48-year-old remains in custody, while the 32-year-old has been bailed pending further investigation.
