Cyclist Dies After Horror Crash with Lorry on Old Kent Road

Tragedy struck on Tuesday evening when a 53-year-old man on a bike collided with a lorry at the busy A2 Old Kent Road and St James Road junction in SE15.

Emergency Crews Rush to Scene

Police were called to the scene at 6:36pm on 5 December, with the London Ambulance Service and officers arriving swiftly. Despite their best efforts, the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lorry Driver Cooperates – No Arrests Yet

The lorry driver remained at the location and is cooperating with police. So far, no arrests have been made as enquiries continue.

Officers appeal for anyone who saw the collision or captured it on dash-cam to come forward urgently.
