Police Hunt Man After Suspected Blackburn Kidnap
Police were scrambled to Tesco on Hill Street, Blackburn, shortly after 12.20pm on Friday, March 5. Officers responded after reports that a group of men forced another man into a burgundy Skoda and sped off.
Man Taken in Skoda – Police Want to Hear From Him
Detectives believe the man shown in CCTV images is the one taken. Another man ran into the nearby 1 store seeking help and was also caught on camera. Police urgently want to trace both men to make sure they’re safe.
Three Arrested, Car Sightings Sought
- Three men, aged 24, 24 and 26, arrested on suspicion of kidnap remain in custody.
- The burgundy Skoda estate, registration KM11 BUO, is crucial to the investigation.
- Officers believe the vehicle may have been seen near Gloucester Road and Burnley Road after the incident between 12pm and 3pm.

“We continue to remain concerned that someone may have been taken against their will,” said Det Supt Joanne McHugh. “We need to trace the two men and urge them to get in touch so we can confirm their safety.” “We want to hear from anyone who spotted the burgundy Skoda, especially near Gloucester Road and Burnley Road on Friday afternoon.” “This incident is being treated with the utmost seriousness.”
