Terrifying Tube Assault: Woman Attacked on Early Morning Train
In the grim early hours of Monday 3 August, a woman was sexually assaulted on a Tube train between Elephant and Castle and Balham stations.
Man Strikes Without Warning on Packed Train
Between 6am and 6.30am, the victim was seated when a man suddenly sat beside her and launched the attack. Shockingly, he then pulled drugs from his pocket and pressured her to get off the train with him to take them, claiming he had a knife.
Victim Escapes at Balham – Man Stalks Nearby Street
As the train pulled into Balham station, both got off separately. The victim headed into the street, noticing the man trailing her on the other side. She quickly returned to the station and escaped without seeing him again.
Police Hunt Suspect Caught on CCTV
Officers have released a CCTV image and urge anyone who recognises the man or has information to come forward.
