Woman Attacked from Behind in Shocking Wateringbury Assault
Late Night Assault on Bow Road
The terrifying attack happened at around 10.40pm on Tuesday, 28 March 2023, in Bow Road, Wateringbury.
A woman was walking from Tonbridge Road towards Wateringbury train station when a stranger crept up behind her and shoved her to the ground.
Victim Fights Back and Escapes
The victim screamed and defended herself before managing to run from the scene.
Shortly after, a young man was seen sprinting up Bow Road towards the village centre. Witnesses describe him as 18 to 20 years old, slim build, wearing a dark blue or black hoodie.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and CCTV Footage
Detective Inspector Steve Smith of maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone CID said: “While the victim did not suffer any injuries, this was a very distressing incident for her and we are appealing for witnesses.”
Police are urging anyone who saw suspicious behaviour or has CCTV, doorbell camera, or dashcam footage to come forward urgently.
