Motorbike Thugs Attempt Robbery in NW3
Police were scrambled to Platts Lane, NW3, just before 5pm on Thursday, 25 July after reports of a brazen attempted robbery. Two suspects on a motorbike tried to snatch from a man, but their victim got away unscathed.
Quick Escape to Safety
The targeted man, along with his female passenger and another male friend, managed to flee the scene unharmed. They later headed to a nearby restaurant in Golders Green, where arresting officers caught up with them for questioning.
Operation Venice Cracks Down on Moped Crime
Detectives from Operation Venice are on the case, probing the incident and carrying out enquiries around the area today, Friday 26 July.
Chief Inspector Jim Corbett said: “The Met is working hard to slash moped, scooter, and motorcycle crime across London. In the last year, we’ve cut these offences by over half and will keep targeting offenders relentlessly.”
