Teen Held Over Brutal London Stabbing Murder

A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder after a fatal stabbing in Willesden Lane, NW6. He remains in custody at an east London police station.

Police rushed to Willesden Lane at around 5.40pm on Saturday, 6 February following reports of a stabbing. Officers and paramedics found a 22-year-old man suffering multiple stab wounds. Despite urgent life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem confirmed the man died from multiple stab wounds. His next of kin have been informed and are receiving specialist support.

Another Teen Injured in Shocking Attack

Nearby, a 16-year-old male was found injured after fleeing into a shop on Willesden Lane. He was rushed to hospital and remains in stable condition. His family are also being supported.

Homicide Detectives Lead High-Profile Probe

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Wrigley said: “A young man has lost his life in the most tragic circumstances and we are doing everything we can to find those responsible.”

He revealed CCTV evidence shows the victims were victims of an unprovoked assault by a group of males. As the group chased them, the 22-year-old fell and was attacked by several attackers. His friend was also assaulted but managed to escape and seek help.

DCI Wrigley added: “Our thoughts are with both families and we will support them fully during this investigation. Our highly experienced officers are working tirelessly to catch those responsible for this horrific attack.”
