Man, Teen Arrested Over East London Murder
A 22-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday, 9 August. Both remain in custody at an east London police station.
Three Others Held for Helping Suspect
Also arrested were two 24-year-old men and a 19-year-old woman on suspicion of assisting an offender. They too remain in police custody.
Tragic Stabbing in Henniker Road
Police were called to Henniker Road, E15, at 1.41am on Friday, 6 August, following reports of a stabbing. Officers, joined by London Ambulance Service, found two men with stab wounds.
23-year-old Michael Fadeyibi had a fatal stab wound to his neck and was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed and is receiving support from specially trained officers.
Investigation Ongoing
A post-mortem revealed the cause of death as a brain haemorrhage. A 19-year-old man injured in the incident was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening wounds. He was later arrested on suspicion of murder and released on bail pending further enquiries until early September.
The Met’s Specialist Crime Command is continuing the investigation and urges anyone with information to come forward.
