Man Arrested on Suspicion of Murder in Clerkenwell
On Sunday afternoon, 20 March, cops swooped in Clerkenwell and arrested Maaroufe. He’s being held on suspicion of murder and assault on police. The suspect remains in custody as the investigation unfolds.

“I would like to thank everyone for publicising and sharing our appeal to trace Maaroufe,” said Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley, who is leading the probe.
“Sabita’s family have been updated with this development and continue to receive support from specially trained officers. Our deepest condolences go out to them.”
