Second Arrest Made in Shooting Murder of Oluwamayowa ‘Samson’ Adeyemi

Detectives probing the brutal murder of Oluwamayowa Adeyemi, known as Samson, have made a second arrest as they launch a fresh appeal for crucial info about a getaway car used in the crime.

Volvo Estate with Fake Plates Found Abandoned

The vehicle, a large Volvo estate, was recovered on the morning of Saturday 6 June after being left in Cowper Road, N16. Police say the car was undamaged and had a false registration plate reading EX18EXE.

Samson Shot Dead in East London

Samson was fatally shot at 11.30pm on Friday 5 June in Brackenfield Close, E5. Paramedics and officers arrived swiftly but, despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem confirmed the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police Urge Public to Come Forward

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Considine, leading the investigation, said:

“Although we have arrested someone on suspicion of being concerned in the murder, the Volvo remains a very important appeal point for us. It was found abandoned the morning after Samson was shot. The false plate means it could have been wearing different plates in the days prior. The car has some distinctive marks – scuff marks on both front bumper corners and the front passenger door mirror was taped on. I urge anyone who’s seen this Volvo or knows who drives it to get in touch. Even small details could be key. I also want to hear from anyone who witnessed the shooting or has other information that could help. This is a tragic loss, devastating for Samson’s family. Please help us bring those responsible to justice.”
