Police Hunt Man Over Brutal Bromley Rape
Detectives have named William Trotter, 39, as the key suspect in a shocking Bromley rape case. They are urgently trying to track him down.

- Appearance: Shaved head, green eyes, missing one upper tooth
- Tattoo: ‘Devil gremlin’ on right arm with names ‘Rhys’ above and ‘Daniel’ below
- Last seen wearing: Dark blue jacket, dark trousers, pink face mask, carrying a blue carrier bag
- Links: Bromley, Lewisham, Lambeth areas of London and Glasgow
Horrific Attack in Turpington Lane
At 12:39am on Friday, 20 March, police rushed to Turpington Lane after reports of a man assaulting a young woman. Officers found a distressed woman in her late teens, who said she had been dragged into bushes and raped.
She suffered serious injuries including a head wound and two black eyes. The victim was taken to a south London hospital and is now receiving support from specially trained officers.
Police Plea: Don’t Approach, Just Call 999
“Following a previous appeal we would now urgently like to speak to William Trotter in connection with this investigation,” said Detective Chief Inspector Dan O’Sullivan.
“Anyone who sees Trotter must not approach him. Dial 999 immediately. This is a violent rape inquiry and anyone with information should do the right thing and come forward.”

“We urge women walking alone to be vigilant and report anything suspicious. Always call 999 in an emergency.”
