Donkey Drama in Hampshire: Rescue Team Saves Cookie from Muddy Prison

Specialist animal rescue officers from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service sprang into action this morning to save a donkey stuck in a muddy bog in Sway, Hampshire.

Stuck in the Sludge

Cookie, the 25-year-old donkey, found himself trapped in a muddy field, sinking fast in the slippery bog. His owner desperately called the emergency services after failing to free him alone.

One Hour Rescue Operation

Rescue crews, including animal rescue experts, worked for over an hour to haul Cookie to safety. Using heavy-duty straps and portable rescue platforms, they carefully pulled the elderly donkey from the mud.

Cookie is now safe and receiving care following his dramatic ordeal.
