Police Shut Down Drug Den in Gosport After Major Raid
Gosport’s streets just got a bit safer after cops raided a drug den packed with illegal substances, replica guns, and a knuckle duster. The bust led to several arrests and the swift closure of the property.
Drug Den Sealed Off for Three Months
A three-month closure order now bans anyone from entering the address unless police give the green light. The crackdown sends a clear message: drug dealers won’t be welcome in the community.
Tenant Rehoused, Community Praised
The tenant caught up in the mess has since been moved to suitable accommodation, sparing them further harm. Sergeant Katie Clift, from Gosport Central Neighbourhood Team, thanked local residents for their bravery and support.
“I hope this closure reassures the local community that we will not tolerate drug supply and drug-related crime. We will do everything we can to stop it,” Sergeant Clift said. “Searches uncovered clear evidence of criminal behaviour harming quality of life in Sherwood Road.”
“Big thanks to PCSO Tracy Burton and the entire local team for their persistence in making this closure possible. If you suspect drug supply in your area, call your Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101.”
