Heavy Police Presence at Catlyn Close
A huge police cordon still blocks off the grass area behind a block of flats on Catlyn Close, East Malling. Kent Police rushed to the scene after a ground-floor flat suffered serious damage.
Windows Blown Out, Front Door Smashed
Officers found the rear windows and doors on the ground floor blown out. Front windows were smashed too. Two police officers and a squad car remain in place as the investigation continues.
Family Inside with Baby, Details Scarce
The flat’s occupant, who has a very young baby living there, is refusing to comment on how the explosion happened. Emergency services are treating the situation seriously.
