Radiation Scare in Dartford Sparks Emergency Response

Kent Police, Kent Fire and Rescue, and South East Coast Ambulance Service rushed to Blake Gardens, Dartford, in the early hours of Tuesday 24 April after a man fell seriously ill.

Hazmat Team Deployed for Radiation Check

A Kent Fire and Rescue spokesman revealed the drama: “We were called to Blake Gardens to test for a possible radiation leak after the man became unwell.”

Four fire engines and a hazardous materials unit arrived swiftly. Decked out in gas-tight suits, crews scoured the property for any radiation sources.

False Alarm – No Danger to Public

Results came back clear. No radiation was detected, and there was no threat to public safety.

The man was treated at the scene and taken to hospital by paramedics. Kent Police were also on hand to support the emergency response.
