Unidentified Cyclist Dies in New Forest Crash
Police are hunting for info after a fatal crash in the New Forest on Saturday night, August 12.
A black Seat Ibiza was driving along Hilltop from Fawley to Beaulieu when it collided with a cyclist at around 6.45pm. Passersby tried CPR before emergency services arrived.
The cyclist was airlifted to southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton General Hospital but sadly died shortly after. The driver, a young man, and his teenage passenger escaped uninjured.
Police Seek Help to ID Cyclist
Inspector Andy Storey said: “We still haven’t identified the cyclist and need anyone who knows him to come forward. He might be a local or a holiday visitor.”
The cyclist is believed to be a slim man in his 60s, around 5ft 8ins tall, with receding grey-brown hair. Notably, he had a dagger tattoo on his left forearm.

Inspector Storey added: “We’re exploring the armed forces angle. Anyone who saw the crash or driving nearby with dash cams should check their footage and contact us.”
