Van and Car Crash in Eastleigh Sparks Police Fury

Emergency services rushed to a crash in Eastleigh last night involving a van and a car. Police slammed the car driver for breaking lockdown rules by making a non-essential trip to pick up second-hand items from Gumtree.

Police Warn: Stay Home, Save Lives!

Hampshire Police condemned the driver’s reckless decision amid the pandemic. The van driver was working at the time and had no choice but to be on the road.

“Currently dealing with a 2 vehicle RTC in Eastleigh. The driver of the van was working. The driver of the car was collecting non-essential second hand items from a Gumtree seller! Thankfully no injuries, but please ask yourself, is this journey really necessary?”

Emergency Services Under Strain

With NHS and emergency crews stretched thin by COVID-19, avoidable collisions caused by pointless trips only make things worse. Police urge everyone to stick to the rules and save lives by staying home.
