Teen Shot Dead on Great Cambridge Road—Murder Probe Underway

A murder investigation is in full swing after an 18-year-old man died from gunshot wounds following a terrifying shooting on Great Cambridge Road in Enfield on Thursday night.

Young Man Dies After Thursday Night Shooting

Emergency crews rushed to the scene shortly after 8:45pm on 26 June, responding to reports of gunfire. Officers from the Metropolitan Police and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service found the victim critically injured.

Despite frantic medical efforts and a speedy hospital transfer, the young man tragically succumbed to his wounds.

His grieving family have been informed and are receiving support from specialist family liaison officers.

Detective Chief Superintendent Caroline Haines, Enfield’s borough commander, expressed her sorrow:

“I am saddened to hear that a young man lost his life last night. My thoughts are with his family and friends who will be processing this news today.”

“We want to reassure the community this appears to be an isolated incident and a thorough investigation is underway.”

“An incident like this is deeply concerning, and we recognise the impact on residents. Officers will remain visible in the coming days — please come forward if you have any concerns.”
