Tragic Crash Claims Two Young Men on Alresford Road
The families of two men who died in a horror single-vehicle crash have paid heartfelt tributes. The smash happened at 6.30am on Thursday, April 25, on the B3404 Alresford Road, just a mile east of St Swithun’s School.
Bizarre Crash: Ford Fiesta Hits Tree
A blue Ford Fiesta, heading towards Winchester, veered off the road and smashed into a tree. Inside were 20-year-old Luke Gething from Bentley and 22-year-old Thomas Matthew Price from Alton. Both men tragically died at the scene.
Families Mourn Lost Sons
Tom Price’s family said: “Tom was sadly taken from us far too soon. He loved life and lived it to the fullest.
“The unexpected tragedy has left all of us devastated. He leaves behind a fiancée and two young sons, Thomas and Peter, whom he adored. We would like to thank everyone for their kind words and support.”
Luke Gething’s family paid their own tribute: “Luke was a deeply loved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was kind, loving, and hilarious.
“He overcame many hurdles and was truly charming to everyone he met. Rest in paradise, Luke — forever in our hearts and thoughts.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage
Officers are urging anyone who saw the crash or spotted the Ford Fiesta before the collision to come forward. The vehicle was confirmed to have stopped at the BP and Marks & Spencer filling station on the A31 at Four Marks earlier that morning.
