Woman Injured in Morning Crash at Lewisham Junction
A woman was rushed to hospital after a crash at the busy junction of Lewisham Way and Parkfield Road at 8:55 am.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
Met Police officers and London Ambulance Service paramedics responded immediately. Paramedics arrived within four minutes and treated the woman before taking her to a major trauma centre. Her condition remains under assessment.
Roads Closed, Bus Routes Diverted
The police have cordoned off the area to gather evidence. As a result, London buses 53, 177, 225, and 453 are being diverted. Parkfield Road and Amersham Vale remain shut while investigations continue.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
A Met Police spokesperson said: “The woman was taken to a nearby hospital where her condition is currently being assessed. At this early stage, there have been no arrests. Officers are carrying out fast-time enquiries into the circumstances. If you have any information, please come forward quoting CAD1891/24MAY24.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We were called at 8:56 am to reports of an incident at the junction of Lewisham Way and Parkfield Road. We sent an ambulance crew, paramedics in a response car, and an incident response officer. The first paramedics arrived within four minutes and treated the woman at the scene before transporting her to a major trauma centre.”
