Two Teens Stabbed to Death in Greenwich Horror

Police are hunting for witnesses after two 16-year-old boys were fatally stabbed in Greenwich on Saturday night. The tragic double murder shocked the Abbey Wood and Thamesmead communities.

Grim Details from the Scene

Deputy Borough Commander Detective Superintendent Richard Mcdonagh spoke near the crime scene in Thamesmead. He said, “This is an extremely sad day for everyone in Greenwich. Our thoughts are with the families and local residents shocked by these senseless murders.”

The two stabbing incidents happened minutes apart at around 5:10pm on Saturday. One victim was found on Sewell Road, Abbey Wood, the other on Titmuss Avenue, Thamesmead—locations about a mile apart. Both boys suffered fatal stab wounds and died at the scene.

Victims Named and Investigation Underway

Police have named the victims as Charlie Bartolo and Kearne Solanke. Authorities have asked for privacy for their families during this terrible time. A specialist homicide team from Lewisham is leading the investigation, which treats the murders as linked.

Detectives said they are working around the clock to uncover what happened and bring those responsible to justice. Mcdonagh added, “Tackling violence is our top priority. We urge all communities to help us stop these tragedies.”
