Father of Two Shot Dead Outside Barking Bar
Police have released the first image of Hanif Redwood, the 32-year-old dad tragically gunned down outside Factory 15 Bar in Barking. The fatal shooting happened just after 4:30 AM on Sunday, October 13, on Linton Road.
A post-mortem confirmed Mr Redwood died from a single gunshot wound to the head. He leaves behind two young children.
Two Arrests Made as Investigation Ramps Up
On Wednesday, officers arrested two men on suspicion of murder. Both remain in custody at an East London police station as detectives race to piece together the crime.
“Hanif was an innocent member of the public whose life was tragically taken far too soon,” said Detective Chief Inspector Mark Rodgers.
“We continue to work at a fast pace and the arrests are a positive step forward in building a full picture of what happened that night.”

Hanif’s family, supported by specialist officers, are grappling with the heartbreaking loss. The investigation urges anyone with information or footage from the area to come forward.
Additional police patrols have been deployed to reassure the community still in shock after the senseless attack.
