Four Family Members Brutally Stabbed to Death in Bermondsey

A shocking quadruple stabbing has left a South East London community reeling. Police discovered four victims at a £650,000 Bermondsey property following a late-night disturbance call. All were pronounced dead at the scene.

Victims Identified: Three Generations Slaughtered

Among the victims is Dolet Hill, a beloved grandmother and cancer survivor who worked as a housekeeper at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital. Her family described her as a “lovely, lovely person.”

Also murdered were Dolet’s long-term partner, Denton Burke, a Westminster council street cleaner, her daughter Tanysha Drummonds, a hardworking community nurse, and her granddaughter Samantha Drummonds.

Man Arrested After Armed Police Tasering Incident

The suspected killer, locally named as Joshua Jerome Derriviere Jacques, was tasered and arrested by armed police after allegedly attacking officers with a knife inside the flat on Delaford Road.

A neighbour revealed Jacques lived there with his girlfriend, who was also one of the victims. The violent tragedy unfolded after a family gathering at around 8pm on Sunday.

Concerned sister and nurse Tracey Henry raised the alarm when she couldn’t contact her mum Dolet during her night shift.

Police Ramp Up Investigation at Horror Crime Scene

  • Police arrived at 1.40am Monday, forced entry with a battering ram, and cordoned off surrounding roads.
  • Crime scene teams, including dog units, combed the area for evidence, searching gardens and rubbish bins.
  • The suspect remains in custody at a South London police station, while detectives from Specialist Crime continue their probe.
  • All victims were known to each other; post-mortems are pending and next of kin are being informed.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed: “Inside, they found four people suffering stab injuries. Despite emergency efforts, all were pronounced dead at the scene. A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.”

The close-knit family’s tragic end has left neighbours and loved ones in stunned grief as the investigation unfolds.
