Five Arrested After Easton Stabbing Shakes Bristol
Avon and Somerset Police have swooped on five suspects following a stabbing near Rawnsley Park on Stapleton Road, Easton, Bristol. The shocking attack happened just before 9:30 pm on Thursday, July 25.
Victim Fights for Life but Injuries Not Critical
The victim, a man in his 30s, managed to make his way to a nearby hospital. He’s currently receiving treatment, but police say his injuries aren’t life-threatening — a small relief amid the chaos.
Suspects Held Over Attempted Murder
Police have detained five people aged 16 to 55 on suspicion of attempted murder. Officers acted fast, making all arrests within an hour of the stabbing call.
“We understand this serious assault is likely to cause concern among the local community and we want to reassure them that it’s being thoroughly investigated,” said Acting Chief Inspector Tom Gent of Avon and Somerset Police.
Police Ramp Up Patrols and Appeal for Witnesses
Authorities believe the stabbing was an isolated incident, unrelated to any other ongoing cases. Still, there’s a bolstered police presence on the streets with high-visibility patrols to calm nerves.
