Sheerness Man Busted Over Knife Assault
A Sheerness man has been charged after a violent assault left a local injured.
Slash Attack Sparks Police Action
The attack happened around 8.40pm on 26 June 2020 in Invicta Road, Sheerness. Emergency services rushed to the scene after a man was found with a slash wound to his arm.
Kent Police teamed up with South East Coast Ambulance to treat the victim, who was taken to hospital and later discharged.
Suspect Snared and Charged
Just an hour later, cops arrested Shaun Packer, 55, of Victoria Street, Sheerness, on suspicion of assault.
- One count of assault causing actual bodily harm
- One count of possession of a knife or sharp object in a public place
Packer appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 29 June and has been remanded to face Maidstone Crown Court on 27 July.
