Man Breaks Into Ordnance Street Home in Early Hours

Police are hunting a man who forced his way into a house on Ordnance Street at around 3.30 a.m. on Sunday, June 5, 2022. The intruder woke a sleeping woman in her bedroom and threatened her before she managed to escape and raise the alarm.

Police Find Evidence at Scene

Officers arriving at the property found a downstairs rear window left open. Inside the bedroom, a screwdriver believed to belong to the suspect was recovered. Investigators also linked this break-in to a possible attempted burglary nearby, where a loud noise was reported around 3.10 a.m. and a bathroom window was found open.

More Suspicious Activity on the Same Street

Earlier that night, at 1.30 a.m., residents reported footsteps on a roof extension. When confronted, the man threatened the victim before leaping over a garden fence to escape.
