Warning over Dangerous Ecstasy Tablets on Isle of Wight

Police have issued a serious alert after a rogue batch of ecstasy hit the Isle of Wight, landing at least four users in hospital. Victims showed frightening symptoms like drunken behaviour, extreme aggression, panic, and even losing consciousness.

So far, four people remain in hospital, with one in a critical state. Authorities stress these tablets could be deadly. Taking them is a gamble with your life.

Ecstasy Sold Near Yates Bar, Newport

Investigations reveal three of those affected bought the pills near Yates Bar on Newport’s High Street on July 1 or 2. Buyers were told the pills were ecstasy.

Yates Bar is fully cooperating with police, aiding the investigation. Cops warn: don’t consume any ecstasy tablets bought recently on the Island.

Police Urge Public to Hand Over Suspect Pills

If you’ve got these tablets, hand them in to police ASAP. They’ll analyse and safely dispose of them. Crucially, anyone doing this to stop harm won’t face drug possession charges.
