Tragic Shooting in St Helens: Woman Dies After Gunshot Wound
Police rushed to Leinster Road at around 12.40am on Sunday, 21 August after concerns were raised for a woman’s safety. Emergency services discovered Ashley in the rear garden with a gunshot wound. Despite being rushed to hospital, she sadly died shortly after.
Two Arrested Over Suspected Cover-Up
A 31-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, both from St Helens, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They were taken into custody for questioning but have since been released under investigation as police probe further.
Investigation Intensifies with 11 Arrests Made
So far, a total of 11 people have been arrested in connection with the case. All remain either on conditional bail or under investigation.
