Body Found in Reddish Vale as Murder Probe Continues
A post-mortem on Keano Byrne’s body has returned inconclusive results, with police continuing their investigation into his death.
Two Men Arrested, One Released on Bail
Two men, aged 26 and 30, were arrested on suspicion of murder. Both were released on bail while inquiries continue. The 26-year-old has since been cleared and is no longer a suspect.
Keano Missing Before Body Discovered
- Keano Byrne, from Gorton, was reported missing on Monday 27 March 2023.
- He was last seen early hours of Sunday 26 March leaving Northumberland Road in Brinnington.
- Keano was walking towards Reddish Vale with another man at the time.
- Police found a body in Reddish Vale Country Park’s water on Friday after extensive searches.
Police Appeal for Public Help
Detective Chief Inspector Liz Hopkinson said: “We’re desperate for anyone with information to come forward. We want to understand what happened before, during, and after Keano’s disappearance.
“This is a tough time for Keano’s family and we owe it to them to get answers.”
“If you were in the Reddish Vale area between 3:30am and 6:30am on 26 March, or saw Keano after he went missing, please get in touch. No detail is too small – whether verbal tips, dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell footage.”
