Shots Fired in Salford: Police Hunt for Answers
Greater Manchester Police are on high alert after shots rang out on Lissadel Street late Monday night. The suspected gunfire happened between 8.45pm and 9pm, but officers weren’t called until 9.25am the next morning.
No Injuries but Tensions High
A GMP spokesperson confirmed no one was hurt in the incident. However, no arrests have been made yet, and a heavy police presence remains on Lissadel Street as detectives scour the area for clues.
Specialist Unit Leads Serious Crime Probe
The investigation is under the watchful eye of GMP’s Salford Challenger Team, part of Greater Manchester’s elite anti-organised crime unit. Officers suspect the shooting was a “targeted” attack rather than random violence.
