Gunshots and Arson Rock Quiet Doncaster Street

Carcroft, Doncaster, is on edge this weekend as police ramp up patrols following a string of violent incidents on Milton Road. Locals are shaken after shots were fired twice outside the same property, and a motorhome was torched in an apparent arson attack.

Two Shooting Incidents in Just One Week

The first terrifying episode took place late on Thursday, July 27. At around 11:20 pm, a vehicle stopped on Milton Road, sparking a confrontation between several men. Shots were fired during the altercation. Police swiftly arrested a 51-year-old man on suspicion of firearm possession with intent to cause violence.

Just a week later, on Thursday, August 3, at about 11:45 pm, another silver vehicle pulled up outside the same address. This time, three shots were fired towards the property before the vehicle sped off into the night.

Motorhome Set Ablaze in Early Morning Blaze

Adding fuel to the fire, in the early hours of Saturday, August 5, a motorhome parked outside the property was deliberately set on fire, leaving it badly damaged. Police are treating the blaze as arson and taking it very seriously.

Police Appeal for Info as Tense Community Awaits Answers

Thankfully, nobody was hurt in any of the violent episodes. Detective Sergeant Joe Hackworthy, who’s leading the investigation, confirmed the police presence would be beefed up across the weekend to support locals and push the inquiry forward.
