Police Urge Residents to Lock Up Tight This Summer
Chief Inspector Nick Sparkes, District Commander for Ashford, Folkestone, and Hythe, warned: “During the summer, burglars target any open windows in warmer weather. Secure windows and doors of rooms you’re not in.”
He added: “Check outside your windows and remove bins or garden furniture that thieves could use to climb inside.”
“Burglars are opportunists. Don’t give them a chance to steal your belongings.”
