An elderly woman in her 70s was brutally robbed of her gold chain while outside a property near London Road. The attacker, a woman, aggressively grabbed the jewellery and fled the scene.
Victim and Attacker Had Spoken Earlier
Police revealed the victim had actually encountered the suspect earlier that same day. They had a brief conversation outside a supermarket in Orpington, where the suspect was collecting charity signatures.
Suspect Busted in Quick Police Sting
Officers swiftly arrested a 30-year-old woman from Edmonton, Greater London, on suspicion of robbery. She was taken into custody shortly after the crime.
