Woman Found Dead in Hanwell: Police Probe Unexplained Death

Police are investigating after a woman was found dead on a busy Hanwell street in Ealing. The victim, named locally as Lilia Djairine, was discovered on Uxbridge Road on Thursday afternoon.

Tragic Scene on Uxbridge Road

Emergency services, including the London Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene at 12:11pm on 19 July following reports of a seriously injured woman. Despite their best efforts, the woman, believed to be in her 20s, was pronounced dead at 12:50pm.

There is no evidence pointing to stabbing, and the cause of death was later confirmed as hanging during a post-mortem at Fulham Mortuary on Friday, 20 July. Formal identification procedures are ongoing, with next-of-kin informed.

Man Arrested and Released Under Investigation

A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder at the scene but has since been released under investigation. Detectives from Ealing continue to handle the case, with the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command overseeing the enquiry.
