Violent Chaos Erupts After Euro 2020 Final in Jubilee Square
Police were called into action after a wild night in Jubilee Square on Sunday 11 July 2021, following the Euro 2020 final. A car was damaged, and nine police officers reported assaults during the mayhem.
Arrests Made in Violent Disorder Probe
Kent Police swung into action two days later, releasing images of suspects in a bid to crack the case. On Thursday 15 July, they arrested a man and two teenage boys at separate homes in Rochester and maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone on suspicion of violent disorder. Another teenage boy was also arrested after attending Maidstone police station.
Earlier, a local man handed himself in at Maidstone station and was arrested for assaulting an emergency worker and violent disorder. He was later bailed until 11 August amid ongoing inquiries.
Two more men, one from Rochester and one from Maidstone, were arrested on 11 July for assaulting emergency workers and public disorder. Both were released on bail until 5 August.

Detectives are still hunting for witnesses and urge anyone with CCTV, dashcam, or phone footage from Jubilee Square between 11pm and midnight on 11 July to get in touch urgently. Call Kent Police on 01622 604100, quoting crime reference 46/122441/21.
