Driver Rams Cop Then Dashes Off in Holloway Road Drama
Shock hit Holloway Road, N1, at around 7.40pm on Sunday, 21 July, when a patrol officer tried to question a car’s occupants following reports of a scuffle inside the vehicle.
Cop Knocked Down as Driver Flees Scene
As the officer approached, the driver suddenly sped off, smashing into the officer in the process. The car then crashed in Navigator Square, N1.
Suspect Caught and Arrested for Attempted Murder
The driver fled on foot but was swiftly caught by officers. He was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and taken to hospital as a precaution.
Thankfully, the officer hit by the car escaped serious injury.
Police Hunt for Witnesses
