Man Arrested After Brutal Cranford Road Attack

A 58-year-old man from Petersfield has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a vicious assault on Cranford Road.

Victim Left Fighting for Life

The attack happened just before 12.15pm on Thursday 14 March. A 62-year-old man was seriously assaulted and rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to South Central Ambulance Service.

Police Move Fast, Suspect in Custody

Officers quickly arrived at the scene and detained the suspect, who remains in custody. Chief Inspector Habib Rahman assured the public:

“We are aware that this news may be concerning for the local community, however, we would like to reassure you that officers are in the area conducting enquiries. We have made an arrest and at this time we believe this to be an isolated incident.”

Police Seek Witnesses

Authorities are urging anyone who saw the attack or has information to come forward. Witnesses should contact police on 101, quoting reference number 44240110256.
