Tragedy in Willesden Green: A man in his 30s has died after a stabbing early this morning, Saturday, December 28, 2024. Despite desperate attempts, emergency crews couldn’t save him on the way to hospital near Edgware Road.
Stabbing Shakes Willesden Green
Police rushed to Linacre Road, NW2, around 4:15am following reports of a stabbing. Paramedics and the London Air Ambulance attended the scene. Sadly, the victim was confirmed dead en route to hospital.
Forensics Swarm the Scene
Fresh pictures from Edgware Road reveal a forensic tent and officers combing the area for clues. The road is shut both ways between Church Street and Boscobel Street. Bus routes 6, 16, and 98 are all being diverted.
Meanwhile, A407 High Road in Willesden Green remains closed, causing chaos for local drivers.
Police Launch Murder Probe
Officers say the victim is believed to be a man in his 30s, though formal ID is pending. Police are supporting next of kin with specialist officers. No arrests have been made yet.
The Metropolitan Police have opened a full murder investigation.
