Man Found Critically Injured on Southampton Street – Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Detectives in Southampton are hunting for information after a 34-year-old man was discovered injured early this morning.

Man Found with Serious Facial Injuries

At around 5.50am, the victim was found lying on the pavement on Hill Lane with severe facial wounds. He was rushed to Southampton General Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Police Make Urgent Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Sergeant Dal Andrews said: “I am appealing for anyone with information about this incident to come and speak to us.”

He added a special call-out to a helpful driver: “I would like to make a specific appeal to a man who was driving a blue van and stopped to assist the victim. If you’re reading this, please get in touch.”

Hill Lane is a busy route into Southampton city centre, and police believe someone must have seen the victim or the events leading to his injuries.

Detectives are also keen to speak with anyone who might have dashcam footage from vehicles passing through the area in the early hours today.
