A middle-aged man is fighting for his life after a vicious attack on Maidstone Street on Thursday evening. He was airlifted to a London hospital in critical condition, with a police officer accompanying him in the ambulance.
Attack Witnessed by Mother and Kids
A woman out with her two young children witnessed the horrifying scene. She told officers the man was attacked while on the ground and kicked multiple times. One brave bystander, a man with a dog, tried to intervene and stop the assault.
Air Ambulance Crew Save Man’s Life
The air ambulance touched down just after 9pm in nearby Mote Park, where doctors used life-saving equipment to sedate the victim. He was then intubated, secured, and flown straight to London.
Police Lock Down Crime Scene
