Nightmare Attack on Seven Sisters Road

The terrifying attack happened just after 3am on Saturday on Seven Sisters Road. Paramedics rushed Mr Küçük to a north London hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries yesterday. Police say his bag was emptied and his phone stolen in the violent robbery.

Another Stabbing Adds to Met’s Grim Toll

Mr Küçük’s death is the latest in a shocking wave of knife crimes. It pushes the Met’s 2024 murder investigations to 53. He is at least the 30th victim stabbed to death this year in London alone.

Family Mourns “Kind and Caring” Man

“It was just a normal evening. He had worked in the coffee shop, went to the gym and had a shower. He went out as usual but he never came back,” said his sister Hatice.

“My brother was a good, kind man. He was loving and caring and always laughing and warm. He would have stood up for himself, he wouldn’t have just given up his phone but he never would have tackled someone if he knew they had a knife.”

Hatice revealed Barış had just finished a shift at their family’s coffee shop and was planning to take it over with fresh ideas. “He never got a chance to do it, it’s heartbreaking,” she added.

From Kurdish Roots to London Life

Originally from a Kurdish family, Barış moved to London with his sisters in 1992. Besides business, he loved football and was a devoted Manchester United fan. He was also a talented artist.

Another sister said, “It’s bizarre, my sister is going to work on this project and our brother is killed. You never think it is going to happen to you.”

Police continue to appeal for witnesses and information as the hunt for the knifeman intensifies.
