Man stabbed in Worthing – police hunt suspect

Serious stabbing on Rowlands Road

Police are hunting for witnesses after a man was seriously stabbed in Worthing on Friday afternoon (18 April). Emergency services rushed to Rowlands Road, near Wordsworth Road, at around 2.30pm following reports of a fight between two men.

By the time officers arrived, both the victim and suspect had vanished from the scene.

Victim turns up at hospital with leg wounds

Shortly after, a 20-year-old Worthing man turned up at hospital with serious stab wounds to his leg. He remains in treatment as police launch a full investigation.

Suspect description and appeal for evidence

Detectives describe the suspect as a slim man in his early 20s with dark brown or black hair. They believe several people were nearby and could have seen what happened.

Police are urging anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage from the area around 2.30pm on 18 April to step forward.
