British Transport Police (BTP) are hunting a man after a shocking attempted murder at Leicester Square underground station. On November 6, a man tried to shove a woman onto the train tracks as a train was pulling in.

Man Tries to Drag Woman onto Tracks

The frightening attack happened around 3:30 pm. Witnesses spotted a muscular man in his late 20s, wearing a short puffer jacket and beige scarf over his head, arguing with an elderly man. Suddenly, he turned on a woman waiting on the platform. He grabbed her arm and tried to drag her toward the tracks.

Quick-Thinking Passengers Save Victim

The woman managed to break free briefly, but the attacker made a second attempt to push her in front of the arriving train. Luckily, two brave passengers jumped in and pulled her to safety. The suspect then slipped onto a train and sped away amid the chaos.

Police Launch Urgent Appeal for Witnesses

The BTP are urgently appealing for anyone who saw the incident or has information to come forward. “This is a serious crime, and we need the public’s help to track down the individual responsible,” said a BTP spokesperson.
