Knife Drama on Glovers Lane: Man Arrested After Brandishing Blade in Broad Daylight
A 24-year-old man has been arrested after flashing a kitchen knife in public on Glovers Lane, Netherton, early on Saturday morning.

Merseyside Police rushed to the scene at around 8am on June 21 following reports of a man waving a knife near the junction with St Jerome’s Way. Witnesses said the suspect paced up and down the street holding the kitchen knife above his head before stashing it in a bag.
Swift Police Action Leads to Arrest
Officers arrived quickly and had the suspect in handcuffs by 8:10am. A search uncovered two kitchen knives, now sent for forensic tests. The local man faces serious charges including affray, possession of a bladed article in public, and a public order offence.
Detective Inspector John Holden said: “Officers made a swift arrest, and our investigation aims to uncover the full story. Although no direct threats were made, the sight of a knife naturally alarmed the community.”
