King Charles Honours Grace’s Bravery

Grace O’Malley-Kumar, the 19-year-old medical student who lost her life trying to shield her friend during the horrific June 2023 1 attack, is being honoured with the George Medal. This prestigious award, one of the highest civilian honours in the UK, recognises acts of exceptional courage in life-threatening situations. The medal will be awarded posthumously following a recommendation by King Charles.
