Tragic Crash: Woman Found Dead After Car Overturns Near A21
At around 1.50pm on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, police rushed to the scene after a car was discovered overturned next to the A21. The silver Nissan Micra was found in a wooded area off a slip road from Pembury Road, Tonbridge.
Eileen Johnston, 88, Pronounced Dead at Scene
Sadly, 88-year-old Eileen Johnston was declared dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed as officers launch a full investigation into what caused the crash.
Missing Woman Mystery: Police Probe Movements Before Fatal Crash
Detectives are also looking into a report that Eileen had been missing from her croydon/" title="Croydon" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Croydon home before the accident. The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is piecing together her movements between Sunday, November 6, and the crash day.
“We are working to establish Eileen’s movements between Sunday 6 November and Tuesday 8 November and have been checking CCTV and ANPR cameras between her home and where her car was found,” said Detective Inspector Lynn Wilczek.
“We urge anyone who saw Eileen or her silver Nissan Micra to get in touch. Please check dashcam footage as well – it could be vital.”
