Kids Climb Into Police Cars at Cliftonville Games
Families flocked to the Cliftonville Games on Saturday 28 August 2021 for a day packed with fun — and a close-up look at Kent Police in action.
Hands-On With Kent Police
PCSO Mark Vogle manned the Kent Police stall, giving children the chance to sit inside a real police car and try out sirens and lights. Visitors got the lowdown on how officers tackle crime and keep the community safe.
Community Cops on Duty
Alongside PCSO Vogle, Community Liaison Officer Daiga Jansone and Youth Engagement Officer PCSO Jack Williams joined forces with the Thanet Multi-Agency Task Force. They listened to residents’ concerns and offered support throughout the event.
PCSO Vogle said: “It was a busy day and lovely to meet so many young people. It was a pleasure to be part of the community event and hopefully all the families who said hello enjoyed their experience meeting Kent Police.”
Games, Crafts and Community Spirit
The event was organised by The Gordon Road Area Street Scheme (GRASS) and took over The Oval with arts, crafts, stalls, fun activities, and games — making it a perfect day out for Cliftonville families.
